OKAY GUYS I'M FINISHED. I WON.

Nanowrimo, that is. So I thought it'd be fitting to have this...journal skin thing.

IT FEELS JUST LIKE HUMAN SKIN, WHICH IS A LITTLE EERIE.

I finished at like...1:56 last night. Or rather, this morning, if you're going to get all techinical on me. Please don't. In any case, it was an invigorating feeling. At first I was like, "good, I'm done. Funny, I don't feel very proud of myself or anything."

Then I went upstairs to go and brush my teeth and I started exploding from the inside out. It was a slow explosion. That is just about the only way I can think to describe it. xD Well, yeah.

Anyway, as the night went on, the explosion only grew bigger, and by the time I actually got to bed, I was so happy. It was really great. I'm never usually that happy.

Except sometimes.

But still: ACHIEVEMENT!

Thus, I encourage you to embark on the lovely writing adventure of NANOWRIMO. It'll do you some good. It may also take a toll on your grades. OTL I'm still okay. No worries!

On another note, Nanowrimo victory aside, I'm feeling a little empty. It's like my days are defined by waking up and going to school every morning but it's like each wake-up is melting slowing into the next.

Some semblance of an ice-cream cone, I suppose.

It feels like walking through panels of a waking dream. I'm not sure when I'm going to wake up; if I'm going to wake up at all, even. It bothers me. I need to get out and do something. Lately, my live has been defined by school work and being busy.

You know I haven't slept past like...7:00 in weeks? I rarely get over 6 hours of sleep, but I figure that this is about normal for teenagers.

I need to get more sleep.

Ah. That's a hard question. I actually hated art as a child. When I was in grade...one...I think, the only things I could draw were flowers and cups. In all seriousness.

I really started drawing in grade...3. Yeah. I was pretty fail, even from the start. It wasn't much.

✖ Which hand do you use for drawing?
The one on the end of my arm.

Okay, fine. The one on the end of my leg. Gosh, you people and your technicalities!

But sometimes I use both hands, at the same time. It's hard to balance a leg up there along with my arm. Sometimes I get cramps and fall off of my chair.

✖ Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Fe...male? I don't know. Maybe both. BOTH ARE HARD CAN I DO A MIX?

I mean, males are...different. And females have...curves and stuff.

I'm a girl, but I'm shaped like a rectangle. What does that say about the people I draw?

✖ Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I like long hair.

✖ Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Ah, It think it's easier to draw people facing the left. I think it's because I used my right hand to draw them. I read that most people who are right handed do that, but I could be wrong.

I provided the real answer to one of the above questions, yo.

✖ Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
MMMMmmmmmmmmm...neither.

I think they're both fine.

Oh, I lied. Side view suddenly strikes me as easier. I mean...you don't need mad symmetry. In any case, though, I like three quarters view best. It's...easier to conceal my flaws. Kind of.

✖ What do you have problems in drawing?
Just about everything.

This proves highly problematic when I like to call myself an artist.

Therefore, I don't.

✖ What do you like to draw?
Nothing. I don't know why I do it.

Okay, I'll admit it. I like to draw three things: giraffes, longchus, and these strange purple creatures with odd teeth. No further explanation required.

✖ Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
I like to consider myself both. You just don't get the digital side of me because I don't have a computer that can support art programs without crashing anymore. I have heard that in two weeks, we'll have a new computer. This is a very exciting and comforting prospect.


✖ Where do you start drawing from?
Um... wherever I want?

It depends. If I'm doodling aimlessly, which I can't actually succeed in, I start from the EYES.

If I'm actually doing something, I'll start from the torso. Please don't ask me why, there's just something appealing about starting there.

I do outline sketches, too. In those cases, I start from the head shape.

✖ What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I start and restart way too often. I can't sing while I draw. Music makes me frustated because I'll be drawing one thing with a certain mood and then the song will switch and I'll feel like drawing something else but I can't because I'm NOT FINISHED YET.

✖ Any tips for coloring/shading?
Study light, and not me.

Anyways, just go for it. There's really nothing else. If you don't try, it won't matter how many great tutorials you've read. You'll get better for sure if you practise.

✖ How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
F...finish art? How does that work?

✖ What music do you listen to while you draw?
I don't know. Whatever's on. But it has to be on repeat. I can listen to one song all day and never get sick of it.

✖ How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I don't know what you mean by ideas. Gosh, PEOPLE!

✖ Your favorite drawing utensils?
My blood. Ew, no.

Ah, I guess...my 0.5 mechanical pencil. It's nice. It's a black drafting pencil from pentel.

I used to use a pink one with a nce grip and everything, but times are a-changing.

✖ Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I dunno.

✖ Your favorite style(s)?
I won't lie. My favourite style is my sister's. She says that I have bias because it's what I'm used to, but regardless, it's friggin' GORGEOUS.

I like Bisco Hatori, a bunch of other ones I can't remember. I dunno.

YOU. In all seriousness, YOU.
